Cambridge Credit Counseling Corp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Answer four short questions and a certified counselor will call you back to go through your situation. Credit counseling is free, and there is no obligation to enroll in anything afterwards.

• Student loans, federal repayment and forgiveness options
• Buying a first home, and what lenders look at
• Falling behind on a mortgage, and foreclosure (Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Missouri and Kansas residents)
• Reverse mortgage (HECM) counseling
• Bankruptcy counseling and debtor education courses

What the form asks

What you need help with, which state you live in, and how to reach you. It does not ask for a Social Security number, a date of birth, or any account number.
