What a counseling session covers
- A full review of what you owe and what you can afford
- Every option explained, including the ones Cambridge does not provide
- If a debt management plan fits, what it would look like for you
- No obligation to enroll in anything
How a debt management plan works
You make one payment each month to Cambridge. Cambridge divides it between the accounts on your plan and pays them. Creditors usually agree to reduce the interest rate, though that is their decision and not every account is included. Your accounts are closed while the plan runs.
The counseling session is free
The counseling session is free, and there is no obligation to enroll. If you choose a debt management plan, a counselor explains its fees before you enroll; they depend on your state and what you can afford.
